The Data Governance Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining master data including but not limited to Bills-of-Materials (BOMs), Suppliers, and Customers in the Agile PLM and/or Oracle ERP systems. The DG Specialist will perform diversified tasks to initiate, change and control BOM, Supplier, and Customer records to ensure data health and quality integrity in the ERP database according to established policies, procedures, and practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Design Centers by creating and maintainting product design BOMs for a variety of businesses and products throughout the product lifecycle;
- Understand drawing and product relationships;
- Support the make sites by creating and maintaining product make BOMs, for a variety of businesses and products throughout the product lifecycle;
- Provide general product configuration support and guidance to a variety of functional areas with varying degrees of BOM literacy, including design, program management, planning, purchasing, manufacturing, IT, and finance;
- Perform mass changes;
- Manage change holistically from raw materials to finished goods;
- Support Purchasing and Order Management with the creation and maintenance of suppliers and customers for a variety of businesses and products throughout the product lifecycle;
- Support ECO, DECO, and CCO processing;
- Follow established Data Governance Policies and Procedures;
- Support line moves, acquisition integrations, software upgrade testing, quality improvement projects, and cross-training;
- Support other design and make BOM activities, as required;
- Support other Supplier and Customer setup activities, as required;
- Support SOX audits as required;
- Support other data governance projects, as necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Associate's degree and 5+ year's experience working in BOM, documentation, material planning, procurement, customer setup, or related area;
- Very good verbal and written English language skills;
- Knowledge in second foreign language is an advantage;
- Experience with a PLM system (Agile, MatrixOne, Enovia, etc) would be considered as an advantage;
- Experience with an ERP system (Oracle preferred, SAP, Baan, etc) would be considered as an advantage;
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with customers and employees in a professional manner;
- Proficient with MS Office applications;
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills;
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy;
- Team player with result orientated outlook;
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic growth-oriented environment.
