-Lead onboarding and strategic projects across CCI’s global trading and global asset footprint;
-Oversee new business and new asset implementation efforts including documentation of business and system requirements, facilitating cross-functional discussions, ownership of system setup and testing, project planning, and coordinating task completion across functional areas (Trading, Risk, P&L, Tax, Technology, Ops, Accounting);
-Coordinate the setup of new exchange products across functions, and establish operational risk and control processes and metrics for new business and trading activities;
-Support commercial business in diligence and approvals of new initiatives;
-Onboard and provide support to new commercial resources (i.e., traders);
-Perform organization and tracking of offboarding commercial resources (i.e., traders);
-Ensure cross-functional coordination across CCI support groups, connecting new initiatives into existing global processes, and working with functional area owners on definition and implementation of non-standard processes, where applicable;
-Partner with the IT organization on system requirements, prioritization, and enhancements rollout including oversight of specifications, process documentation, system configuration, data governance, and UAT testing; and
-Ad-hoc strategic and/or corporate projects and initiatives.
Role may supervise 1-2 peers with the title of Associate, Strategic Initiatives (SOC Code 15-2031.00, Operations Research Analysts), subject to business needs. No hire/fire authority.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, a closely-related field or foreign equivalent, followed by 3 years of experience in any occupation where trade support and operations experience in the energy and commodities industry was gained. Experience must include:
-1 year of experience leading cross-departmental initiatives;
-2 years of experience with ETRM systems;
-3 years of trade lifecycle experience with Oil Trading;
-3 years of experience with P&L reporting;
-3 years of experience with trade valuation methodologies; and
-1 year of experience onboarding new business lines in financial and physical markets.
