Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to lead and manage a large Supply Chain project. The PMO Manager will be responsible for providing strategic guidance, project management oversight, and overall support to ensure the successful delivery of a new Greenfield DC in Kansas.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage the project management office including processes, tools, and templates.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules, and ensure that all project stakeholders are informed of progress against these plans.
  • Monitor and report on project risks, issues, and dependencies, and ensure that appropriate mitigation plans are in place.
  • Oversee the external relationship with the 3PL partner, the developer, and other key vendors ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with internal functions including engineering, finance, IT, and supply chain teams
  • Monitor the performance and compliance of the 3PL partner.
  • Address any issues or conflicts that may arise during the partnership.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and resources.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, ensuring that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across the project team, stakeholders, and business units.
  • Manage project finances, including budget tracking and forecasting, and ensure that project costs are managed within budget.
  • Maintain a risk register and proactively address emerging risks.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, project plans, status reports, and project closure documents.
  • Ensure that project governance processes are followed, including project stage-gate reviews, change control, and issue management.
  • Provide regular project status updates to project sponsors, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, supply chain, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in new warehouse startups.
  • Knowledge of cold storage, logistics industry, and operations is an advantage.
  • Experience managing project management offices (PMOs) and implementing project management processes, tools, and templates.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience with project management software and tools.
  • General knowledge of construction and warehouse building processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of time
