About the Team

Workday is growing rapidly across our product portfolio. In order to maintain our growth trajectory, it's critical that we constantly search for new avenues for market expansion while improving upon our existing business. Workday’s Corporate Strategy and Business Operations team works on high visibility projects in conjunction with business and product leaders across the organization. This team partners closely with Workday’s senior executive team to define, align on, and implement the company’s global strategy and Business Operations. The team is also responsible for delivering high profile strategic initiatives and thought leadership to support Workday’s continued growth globally.

About the Role

Workday’s Business Operations team plays a pivotal role in connecting our strategy to execution and ensuring progress on our highest strategic priorities and long-term growth objectives in partnership with business and product leaders across the organization. You will play a highly visible role in building out scalable operations to understand Workday’s business performance and identify opportunities to improve performance and ensure we’re on track to achieve our growth goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and establish repeatable operations to effectively understand and report business performance. Set up end-to-end processes and operating models to understand business performance trends, identify actionable insights & opportunities, and steer decision-making to improve performance.

  • Lead the preparation of business performance reporting at key executive forums, including Quarterly Business Reviews. Present findings and insights to senior executives.

  • Support development of standardized business performance analysis and reporting tools to improve efficiency and streamline reporting operations. Collaborate with the Enterprise Data and Analytics team to create dashboards, data visualizations and analytics.

  • Lead in-depth analysis of business performance data across various domains including financial metrics, sales & revenue, marketing & demand gen, products, services, and external market. Identify meaningful trends and performance drivers and generate strategic insights to drive business impact.

  • Identify, define, and monitor critical KPIs and metrics to measure progress on key strategic priorities and growth objectives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, strategy, revenue operations, sales, marketing, product, services to understand performance drivers, identify insights, and align on opportunities to improve business performance and drive growth.

  • Leverage deep understanding of business performance to contribute to development of strategic plans. Provide recommendations for improving business performance and achieving long-term goals.

  • Support strategic initiatives on business performance analysis as required to address specific business questions or challenges.

About You

The successful candidate will have proven success in leading analysis of business performance or financial data and presenting business insights to senior executives to influence strategic decision-making. Prior experience in a business operations, revenue operations, strategic finance, product operations, strategy consulting or corporate strategy role at a technology company. Possesses strong analytical skills with proficiency in generating actionable insights from complex data and clearly communicating recommendations to senior executives. Demonstrate the confidence, resourcefulness, adaptability, and flexibility needed to engage a diverse set of stakeholders (product, sales, marketing, finance) to collaborate and achieve the desired business outcomes. Comfortable with ambiguity and operating in a fast-paced environment with constantly evolving priorities.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience with a background in business operations, revenue operations, strategic finance, product operations, strategy consulting or corporate strategy in a technology company

  • 4+ years of demonstrated success in a role focused on business data analysis 

  • 4+ years of experience in preparing and presenting business insights to senior executives

Other Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree; MBA preferred.

  • Exceptional communication skills, especially in crafting persuasive narratives to convey complex data to an executive audience.

  • Strong leadership skills and executive presence

  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial approach; comfort with ambiguity

  • Experienced data-driven problem-solver able to both delve into the details and operational tactics and engage meaningfully on the big picture or overall strategy

  • Experience with SaaS and enterprise software products or services


Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $183,200 USD - $274,800 USD


 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $160,400 USD - $274,800 USD
