We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Product Operations Manager to join our Platform Team, where we are dedicated to collaborating with educators to create the digital experience of Amplify products as well as create rigorous and riveting learning experiences with Desmos Classroom. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of our projects and initiatives. The manager will act as a product and team expert and be a key liaison for the platform team and other cross-functional teams within Amplify.
Ensure Readiness to Serve Customers: Work closely with leaders across the organization to ensure that internal systems, processes and product offering are set up for successful implementation. Activities include: Leading digital product release coordination; Managing and overseeing end-to-end bug hunts for new product releases, ensuring thorough testing and identifying any issues prior to launch; Serving as the primary point of contact for the platform team regarding ready-to-serve and ready-to-sell initiatives, ensuring clear communication and alignment across departments.
Team Communication: Coordinate and lead cross team communication and coordination efforts including quarterly and annual planning; Plan and coordinate whole team meetings, ensuring agendas are clear, goals are defined, and follow-ups are managed systematically.
Cross-Team Project Leadership: Lead or co-lead projects that require coordination across multiple teams, ensuring milestones are met and objectives are achieved.
Process Improvement: Create, modify, optimize, and maintain processes to enhance project, team, and stakeholder management. This includes establishing effective communication norms and channels.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in project management, operational or comparable roles.
Leadership and Teamwork Skills: Ability to lead teams through influence and work collaboratively across functions.
Strategic Planning and Execution: Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Expertise in setting project objectives, developing plans, and achieving goals. Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Communication Skills and Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate a healthy team culture and effective stakeholder engagement.
Comfort and ability to lead compelling internal and customer-facing meetings and presentations
Comfort and ability to synthesize information and present to internal stakeholders
Comfort and ability to work through internal and customer stakeholder conflicts with professionalism
Process Development and Optimization: Experience in creating, modifying, and implementing processes for improved efficiency. Ability to identify pain points that would benefit from new or improved processes.
Ability to travel regionally and nationally (approx 5%)
Experience in the education technology sector.
Familiarity with product development methodologies and practices.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
What we offer:
Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross annualized salary range for this role is $115,000 - $130,000. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
