Team/Role Overview

This role is focused on articulation, prioritization, monitoring and reporting of Operations investment portfolio.

The successful candidate requires expertise in change portfolio formulation, investment process facilitation and communication working closely with key business stakeholders, as well as having astute financial acumen and a good understanding of banking technology.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with Operations business heads, Technology and Operations Change leads to create and provide transparency of portfolio, programs and spend impacting Ops across BAU and Change
  • Provide simplified and streamlined governance standards and processes across Operations which draw on best practices and adherence to Citi Standards, including robust business case development with clear business outcomes to ensure consistent comparability and easier alignment of investment decisions and programs.
  • As part of the annual budget cycle, partner with Operations business heads, Technology and Operations Change Leads to consolidate a comprehensive Book of Work. Enable prioritisation of investment demand in line with Operations strategy and investment appetite.
  • Establish governance over the Investment portfolio for Operations that will consistently track and report the delivery of programs and assess any risks to delivery, associated spend and the realisation of benefits.
  • Collaborate with Change and Program Management teams in the execution of program and project management quality assurance and compliance activities and various other management reporting processes. Ensure quality, efficiency and accuracy of portfolio and program - level data and adherence to standards throughout the reporting and monitoring process.

What we’ll need from you

  • Significant relevant experience, including managerial experience with specific expertise in large scale investment and portfolio governance in banking
  • A strong understanding of financial, audit and governance processes as they relate to technology investment
  • Demonstrated results working in a matrixed organization structure.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analytically and creatively problem solve.
  • Ability to build positive cross-functional relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in managing deliverables within aggressive timeframes; ability to cope under time pressures
  • Demonstrated success in managing large, complex budgets / financials
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, ability to compellingly present & persuade.
  • Proven track record of team coaching and development.
  • Ability to plan and develop, lead initiatives.
