Join us as our new (regional) Legal Business Partner

Novonesis, you will work on interesting international legal issues and be part of a sharp group of inhouse lawyers that works globally. Our purpose is to assist our organization navigating a complex
international business environment in a safe and efficient manner by giving timely practical legal
advice. The projects and matters you will take on will challenge you to think business in a global

Main roles & responsibilities
The (regional) Legal Business Partner is responsible for partnering with and servicing one or more
business areas (as well as relevant supporting functions) in APAC, with the following key roles &
responsibilities:
- Providing day-to-day legal services for the relevant business area(s) as well as supporting
functions (such as operation, supply chain, R&D, finance etc.) within the APAC region, incl.
general legal advice, contract development & review, negotiations and interpretations,
intellectual property enforcement, dispute resolutions/litigations, corporate documentation,
regional compliance etc.
- Providing input to and collaborating with the Legal Business Partner Lead and other Legal
Business Partners on the legal strategy for the business areas and responsible for ensuring
that the strategy is implemented and followed in the daily work.
- Providing input to and collaborating with relevant global legal functions in M&A, post-merger
integration projects and litigations.
- Supporting Head of Regional Legal with monitoring, researching and analyzing regulatory
issues or changes as well as addressing various legal matters in the APAC region that could
impact the organization.

In this position you need to have:
Professional qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in law and minimum 5 years' working experience at a law firm. Please do
not hesitate to apply if you have a longer year of experience.
- Pass the PRC bar exam
- Although not a requirement, we are interested in getting applications from candidates who
have also worked in an in-house legal function with MNC(s)
- Excellent skills in both Chinese and English languages
- Real talent for drafting and negotiating contracts and solving disputes
- Excellent analytical, writing and verbal communication skills
- Good legal project management skill will be a nice plus

- Self-motivated, proactive, organized and able to multi-task in an efficient manner
- Show strong business mindset and ability to prioritize according to impact and value
- Dare to lead and make impact
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; drive constructive and efficient
collaboration with other functions
- Ability to communicate effectively with people in a friendly way
- Persuasiveness and persistency in reinforcing what's best for Novonesis
- Impeccable integrity
- Willing to travel when necessary
