Designs, implements, and maintains moderately complex databases. Maintains database dictionaries and integration of systems through database design. Administer and test computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems. Coordinate changes to computer databases. May plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.

Be part of an agile operations team of contract support staff who are responsible for maintaining several legacy systems, minor enhancements to still-in-use applications, ensuring continued authority to operate, and ultimately for sunsetting those systems after their functions have been subsumed or replaced by the Insider & Security Analytics Platform. This team is accountable for system administration, information system security accreditation, database administration, physical infrastructure maintenance, and software development.

Primary Responsibilities:
oProvides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
oEstablishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
oAs a Subject Matter Expert is an individual whose qualifications and/or expertise are exceptional and/or highly unique.
oHas domain and expert technical knowledge. Performs the following kinds of functions:
oInitiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs;
oProvides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff;
oProvides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues;
oConsults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
oDecision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation
oMay supervise others.

Basic Qualifications:
oBachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems
oManagement, other related discipline, or equivalent experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
o12-15 years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.
oAbility to work well within a small agile team environment
oStrong communication skills
oUS Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:
oExperience with Linux Admin, VMWare vSphere 6/7 experience, SPLUNK Server administration, Dell Server, and SAN Storage hardware experience
oExperience with Docker, Microsoft SQL, Oracle databases, Angular, JavaScript including Ember.js, Spring Boot, Spring, in addition to a focus on cloud skillsets, specifically AWS solution architecture
oStrong Oracle database and MS SQL experience is required
oDOD Top Secret Clearance is required.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
