About the team

APT provides investment risk and portfolio construction services and solutions to investment management firms, pension funds and hedge funds. APT’s multi-asset class factor models and best of breed simulation and analytics engine allow our customers to:

  • Report risk information to management, clients, and regulators
  • Understand risk across all asset classes
  • Optimise and backtest portfolios and strategies using quantitative techniques such as mean-variance analysis, subject to a variety of linear and non-linear constraints

What you will be doing

  • The successful candidate will be joining the team as a Model Consultant. You will be working closely with the analytics and models production  teams and various APT product teams, which are focused on building and maintaining best-in-class products. You will need to understand the model building process and how we maintain Statistical factor models.
  • The role also involves working on solving problems with the model and answering client questions related to the Factor Model
  • You will understand end to end the Quantitive Risk Model Production Process
  • You will contribute to the evolution of our products and services by serving as a access point to our product management process
  • You will document processes around investment risk analysis and models

What you will need

  • Strong analytical skills
  • 3+ years of industry experience
  • Organizational and time management skills required
  • Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and in a Team
  • Extremely comfortable working with computers and a variety of applications
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience in Risk Management with exposure to Market Risk and Market Data
  • Knowledge in programming, business analysis or implementation of software products
