PURPOSE/SCOPE
Identify and leverage corporate purchasing power within indirect categories such as professional services, consulting, technology (software, hardware, maintenance), facilities, human resources, marketing, finance, shared services, mortgage originations and servicing core functions, and other assigned commodities. Partner with internal business units to improve quality of procurement, sourcing penetration and contribution. Engage customers in a managed selection process. Manage and facilitate contracting and negotiation processes to ensure contractual protection. Provide proactive strategic sourcing support to Business Units to drive cost reduction, operational efficiencies, and risk mitigation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and manage relationships with internal Business Units
Drive early engagement, sourcing penetration, customer compliance and relationships with assigned Business Units
Guide sourcing projects within overall acquisition strategy, identify opportunities to reduce costs, create operational efficiencies, and assist in mitigating risk
Socialize sourcing / contracting processes to internal customers, recommend project approach and secure approvals from Business Units, Support Partners, and Executive Leadership as required
Formulate procurement and category-specific strategies, policies, and lead implementations, driving Business Unit compliance
Assist in developing product and service specifications according to best practices in cooperation with Business Units and Support Partners
Monitor category trends and conduct market research as needed
Conduct RFx activities, as necessary
Manage negotiation process with suppliers jointly with Business Units and Legal department
Manage supplier relationships in collaboration with Business Units and Vendor Management
Overall, manage all aspects of assigned Business Units, Categories and Contracts

KNOWLEDGE

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience delivering category specific sourcing service, strategic sourcing, supplier / category management and compliance management
Financial Services experience a plus
Professional Procurement Qualification (CIPS / CPM or equivalent preferred)
4 Year College Degree
MBA / JD and appropriate professional affiliations / preferred
eProcurement / eSourcing technology experience, in particular Workday and Conga skills a plus
Leading project teams experience desirable
