OVERVIEW

This position can be based out of San Francisco, New York, or remote (we accept candidates from many states).

We are seeking a Product Manager, Bank Connectivity and Internal Tools to own the technical frameworks and tools that connect our platform to banks. This individual will lead initiatives to streamline how we build bank integrations. They will also manage and expand internal tooling capabilities that support our Customer Support, Banking Operations and Engineering teams. Internally, they own the interface that enables teams to answer questions related to bank and rail coverage (e.g. “Do we support ACH at X Bank”).

This role combines strategic ownership of bank connectivity frameworks (e.g., SWIFT) with operational oversight of customer onboarding experience. The ideal candidate brings a passion for building internal tools, strong collaboration skills, and a deep understanding of or desire to learn about bank technologies and integrations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Product Manager working towards the success of our Payments Product, you will be on the front lines of industry-leading payments systems with future leaning capabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prioritization for financial system integrations: You will work closely with sales, customer success, and bank partnerships to understand which banks or other financial service providers we should work with. You will define the ideal technical implementation and work closely with engineering on streamlining integration processes.

  • Payments Product onboarding and stability: You will work with our customers to understand their timelines to go live and work closely with engineering to implement their bank requirements balancing short term goals and long term integration frameworks. You will manage the full lifecycle of a customer’s integration from building the bank connection, account set up, payments testing, data connectivity and post-go live upgrades.

  • Metrics and operational improvements: You’ll design metrics to ensure we are building the right tools and processes for our internal customers. You’ll discover operational improvements for our bank and customer onboarding teams to minimize friction and speed up implementations.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Operational fluency: You relish going deep with internal partners on the ins and outs of their day to day to identify opportunities for operational improvement through tooling. You build tools with a view to the future and supporting key workflows. You strive to make it as easy as possible to support our customers in their journey to onboard and use MT.

  • Partnership collaboration: You thrive in a dynamic and cross functional environment where you not only work with internal stakeholders across multiple teams but external counterparties such as banks.

  • Excitement for Payments: You have an interest in the payments and banking space, even if you are not an expert today, learning and exploring the nuances of ACH, RTP and OAuth excite you.

  • Product Management Experience: You have extensive experience as a product manager operating in dynamic, fast-moving environments.

  • Internal Tooling Expertise: You have experience building tools for internal users with a track record that demonstrates the value and efficiencies these tools provide.
