We are currently looking for a Field Quality Assurance Data Analytics Intern to join our team.  The position will be located in Smyrna, TN at the Field Quality Center and will be a full-time role for the Fall of 2024.

During the course of your internship, you will have the chance to:

  • Help implement the new SDA system to distill field data and drive decisions. 
  • Use Machine Learning and AI models to process large data sets and produce important results to drive field action decision.
  • Develop visually compelling dashboards and reports to communicate data-driven insights effectively.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with TCS data teams to analyze several data streams such as warranty, techline, consumer affairs, VOQ, and IIR for use in our vital issue investigation process.
  • Support TMTC decision making by creating benchmark data on DIR/NCIR/EDIR for precedence.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to create suspect VIN files for investigations/campaigns.
  • Support investigations with statistical analysis, e.g. Weibull, to estimate future incident rates.
  • Develop the tools and procedure for using enhanced data analysis methods (e.g. SIGMA and Telematics) to support TMTC process.
  • Safety Data Analytics integration into FQA Investigations workflow, including automated VOQ and TR analysis and TREAD filtering for improved early warning detection.

In order to qualify for this role, you must:

  • Currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics or a related field
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
  • Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skill sets
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Access, etc.
