Let’s talk about this role

This is 6 month Fixed Term Contract as the Business Analyst – GRC Data, Tools & Reporting.

Working on the CPS 230 Operational Risk Management regulatory project, you will work closely with the Risk Manager, Risk Analyst and broader project team to contribute to the GRC application vision and roadmap and lead the planning, design and development of a range of functions specifically required by the incoming CPS 230 standard.

Duties will include:

  • Gather, document and analyse business requirements and identify improvement opportunities

  • Coordinate and conduct internal stakeholder interviews, workshops and observations to better understand current and potential future states

  • Develop and maintain configurations, workflows and business documentation for implemented solutions

  • Facilitate user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements

  • Report on project progress and key insights to the Project team

  • Complete change management and issue resolution tasks.

The purpose of the role is to specifically act as an SME on the project as it relates to the GRC application data, systems and reporting requirements within the project work plan. This includes understanding the current application design and functionality and help interpret regulatory requirements to design uplifted or new solutions that are fit for purpose and aligned with nib’s risk and compliance frameworks.

You will be responsible for working with cross-functional colleagues to understand the various requirements but overlay this with a practical and simple end user experience.

Let’s talk about you

To succeed in this role you will have proven experience in a similar role with experience working with cloud-based GRC systems. It is essential you have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements for compliance within the financial services or insurance industry.

This experience will be complimented by positions of leadership, modelling exceptional communication skills, conflict resolution and influence.

Furthermore, we’re looking for:

  • Long-term product management / development mindset (versus task-based delivery)

  • Excellent verbal, written and documentation skills including the ability to conduct meetings / workshops and present to a range of stakeholders including technical and non-technical

  • Experience working with and managing vendor relationships

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile collaborative team environment with competing demands

  • Self-driven, proactive and positive mindset with ability to work unsupervised and can escalate when required

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills including interpreting a range of requirements into solution design with the end user experience in mind

  • Exceptional planning, organising and prioritisation skills to deliver to deadlines

At nib, we recognise that some people may only apply when their education, skills and/or experiences are identical to what an employer is looking for in a candidate. We’re always on the lookout for curious individuals who will add to the culture at nib Group – so if this role resonates with you, please apply!
