Your Impact

As Axon’s Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be accountable for directing the activities of a work team in meeting daily production goals while maintaining a high degree of commitment to quality, efficiency and safety standards. You will provide leadership, coaching and direction for our production personnel and ensure our customers' needs are met. You will facilitate the development of team members and foster our ability to be a world-class manufacturing organization by leading continuous improvement efforts.

What You’ll Do

Schedule: First Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM

  • Ensure that products are manufactured to meet internal goals while meeting the quality and delivery expectations of our customers whether internal or external.
  • Promote a safe work environment and assure employees follow all safety policies.
  • Anticipate and react to production problems, delays, material shortages and equipment malfunctions.
  • Participate in Kaizen activities and drive employee engagement. This position requires a passion and understanding of Lean Six Sigma, 5-S and driving continuous improvement.
  • Work with engineering to effect improvements in cost, quality, work simplification and ongoing continuous improvement activities. Assist with RCAs and corrective actions.
  • Clearly communicate goal expectations, status, gaps and countermeasures through visual management and Tier Meetings.
  • Ensure production employees are accurately trained and work instructions are followed.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental cooperation and understanding; provide team mentorship and supervision to ensure a positive work environment and employee engagement that supports Axon core values.
  • Responsible for addressing any engagement opportunities identified during Employee Engagement Surveys.
  • Hire, train and develop team members and motivate and drive accountability.
  • Develop and implement projects in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Additional duties as required.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing/production environment with a Proven track record of continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and communicate with senior leadership.
  • Must possess ability to work and cope well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience supervising 30+ personnel
  • Bi-lingual a plus
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/ISO 14001

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • Upon hire completion of the Axon ATF training.
  • Must be available to work overtime and/or weekends based on business needs.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic 365.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 56,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 100,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 63,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 113,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors. Physical Demands

Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, push, carry, etc. for 10 hours at a time; ability to lift and transfer up to 40lbs for a distance up 50 feet; ability to ascend and descend stairs; ability to grasp and use small parts; and ability to occasionally kneel, crouch, bend as required to perform tasks.

Work Environment

Within the Axon manufacturing facility, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, ambient temperatures, close quarters, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, exposure to vibrations and industrial lighting, etc.

Personal Protective Equipment

Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided by Axon and may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes but is not limited to, safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear. Employees are required to fully apply ergonomic correctness to all job tasks possible.
