SUMMARY:

The Line Lead will be responsible for overseeing the line of production and coordinate and oversee the daily activities of warehouse personnel under the direction of the Operations Manager / Supervisor in order to profitably meet the customer needs while ensuring that corporate values and objectives. This leadership role will be responsible for delegating functions to warehouse associates as necessary to meet the needs of the customer. Following company and site-specific safety policies, and encouraging other associates to do the same, is of great importance to this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly supervises temporary employees in production
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable procedures
  • Enforce company's rules and regulations
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals and maintains harmony among workers.
  • Issues written and oral instructions
  • Maintains time and production records
  • Works with supervisors to coordinate flow of materials or products.
  • Troubleshoot machine and equipment malfunctions and report them to maintenance personnel
  • Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, packed and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems
  • Process off-specification material as directed
  • Effectively work and communicate with others in the organization and customers
  • Inform production Supervisor and QA Supervisor of issues found during kitting
  • Verifies corrective action is taken to resolve defects
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Capable of basic math calculations
  • Able to read and interpret specifications and drawings
  • General knowledge of computers

SKILLS

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Able to handle large volumes of work
  • Ability to work independently, requiring little supervisory direction
  • Communicates in a constructive and consistent manner

ABILITIES

  • Able to stand or walk constantly, 100% of shift
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, lift, push and pull materials throughout shift
  • Self-motivated
  • Maintains neat/organized work area and documentation
