Our product vision is to create the most loved digital home loan in Australia. To do this, we need great product-lead experienced engineers, supported to build a great digital product experience.
The role
We are looking for a smart, driven, and resilient full stack Typescript engineer who loves delivering customer and business solutions in a collaborative, iterative and simple manner. TypeScript is our go-to language, and we use it across our stack, so you’ll need to be proficient at it.
You’ll be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and will be a contributor within a growing engineering team.
Your skills and experience
8+ years of experience in TypeScript, GraphQL, React, React Native and building with modern practices is a must.
Experience in frameworks - React and React native is a must.
Experience in backend technology - Nodejs is a must.
Experience with build tools, improve the system.
Experienced with infrastructure development – Azure.
Experience leading a team in designing, building scalable, secure software systems.
Experience providing technical leadership, mentorship, pairing opportunities, and code reviews to encourage the growth of other engineers.
Experience developing testable and observable systems – TDD, Jest, Playwright
You love autonomy and like to take ownership of problems, see your efforts translate into outcomes that resonate with a user / customer.
You learn through sharing and reading thought leaders in your community.
Preferably, a background in Financial Services organisation.
Desired Skills:
Have a product-oriented mindset and be able to work closely with product managers to understand the needs of the end-users.
Passionate about fostering effective Engineering practices and processes.
Proficiency with Git and GitHub.
Knowledge of API architecture patterns (we use microservices).
Some exposure to DevOps practices and tooling (CDK, Terraform, Docker etc).
Experience deploying multi-environment applications within a major cloud provider (azure)
Experience in the financial services industry.
