About the Team
Join our award-winning design team and help us shape the future of retail. Our mission is to bring dignity and access to all through design excellence to all regardless of zip code or bank account. We design richly compelling experiences that improve the daily lives of millions of customers – whether they are at home, in our stores, or on the go. We also craft world-class experiences that enable our merchants, suppliers, sellers and 2.1 million in-store associates to deliver great value to our customers on a daily basis.
As a Senior UX Designer, you will help transform complex workflows and information into software experiences that promote elegant ease-of-use. While a strong design thinking practice will underscore collaboration with partner teams, it is your systems thinking acumen that will be foregrounded to facilitate conversations, create concepts, run design sprints, and build rapid prototypes that cultivate and leverage collective creative inputs. You will focus on growing your strengths in storytelling to present your vision and product design rationale in a compelling, convincing manner to the broader team. You will create and champion a highly usable experience strategy and architecture before delivering pixel-perfect designs.
As a designer on the Data Experiences team, you'll be designing for Walmart’s internal data products and experiences. You will bring together and synthesize both familiar and forward-looking design for data practices for our partners across the business and help deliver clear and explainable data tooling and visualization. There is room to develop design subsystem components and flows and your facility with working both within and without the constraints of collaborative enterprise design systems (Figma, et al) will be appreciated. This work will allow you to innovate around design patterns that directly impact millions of customers via key financial, analytics, marketing, data science, ML, and operations systems. Our goal is to streamline the B2B encounter with data informed decision-making processes and bring a consumer software grade sensibility to every Partner and Associate at Walmart. We want to optimize the data experiences that enable us to enable millions of households and families to save money and live better.
By innovating on the world’s biggest stage, you will have the chance to shape the future of retail and beyond. If you are motivated by complex, purposeful challenges, being a Senior UX Designer at Walmart could be the fit you’ve been looking for.
