WHAT YOU WILL LOVE DOING:

You’ll provide a welcoming onboarding experience and orientation new staff.  You will complete clinical training for all new hospice staff and ensure delivery of quality training. 

  • Training: Complete orientation and all ongoing competency and annual training for all hospice employees and staff that follow and fulfill CMS guidelines. Provide training and direction to hospice aides during the supervised practical portion of the trainings.

  • Patient Care: Work in the field with patients and staff as needed.

  • Quality: Ensure quality and safe delivery of hospice services.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Director of Nursing and/or Executive Director regarding new initiatives.  Work with local and regional leadership to improve patient outcomes.

  • Training Materials: Develop tools and learning aides for field staff and clinical training for annual competencies.  Work with Hospice Operations Specialist to develop clinical care documents, disease management processes and clinical policies.

  • Policies: Reviews clinical documentation in accordance with agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.

  • Critical thinker and the ability to problem solve clinical needs.

  • Utilization of nursing best practices and the ability to make appropriate nursing judgments.

 
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current RN license in the state of employment

  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, at least one (1) year must be in the provision of home health care or hospice. 

  • Previous clinical training experience preferred. 

  • Technical/computer skills as well as use of electronic medical documentation. HCHB experience is preferred.

  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.

  • Capable of all physical demands.
