Job Description

MRO & Equipment Sourcing Specialist - Procurement & Supply Chain

With a new Procurement & Supply Chain Management (P&SCM) organization in place, Fugro is on an exciting journey to accelerate growth and value creation. The MRO & Equipment Sourcing Specialist role is responsible and/or overseeing the contracting, suppler management and tendering of our MRO and Equipment suppliers in the region EU/AF aligned with our Global strategy.

You will be working in a driven and engaged team of Procurement and Supply Chain Managers based worldwide. You will be responsible for driving the strategy in region EU/AF setting priorities focusing to get the spend under control and managed in frame agreements that can be utilized by the business with a focus on total cost of ownership.

This role will include some travel as needed within the EU/AF region to meet Suppliers and stakeholders in the region.

Your role

  • Understand current MRO and equipment markets and trends and build the negotiation strategy based on it.

  • Execute the sourcing strategy according to the sourcing process in place. Understand cost structure and TCO. Identify cost and risk optimization opportunities, plan, phase and prioritize.

  • Ensure a fluent coordination with the business during the tendering and negotiation of contracts with Suppliers and make details available to the business.

  • Analyse and understand the spend data and explore negotiation leverage and economies of scale.

  • Be part of the key focal group within the organization to drive P&L value by negotiating and contract key suppliers in the region.

  • Spend analysis, mapping key stakeholders (internal/external). Ensure adherence to current procedures in place and be the key driver of them.

Your track record

  • At least you have a BSC degree in a related field

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience as Purchaser, Contracting, category manager, or similar procurement or Supply Chain function;

  • Ideally previous experience & commercial knowledge in the MRO/Equipment industry and familiar with handling & negotiating framework agreements;

  • You have commercial insight; You are able to think and understand both the customer as well as sales perspective, negotiate preferred terms with suppliers, and weigh customer requirements against sourcing capacities and capabilities.

  • You have excellent English language skills both written and oral, Advantage to also have Dutch language skills.
