The Web Developer plays a key role in ensuring delivery of new capability to our customers. The role will work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and subject matter experts to build and execute test cases that ensure great products are delivered to customers
Key Responsibilities;
Designing modern highly responsive web-based user interfaces
Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
Learn and understand user interactions
Optimising components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
Monitoring front-end performance
Create and update any technical documentation required
Stay up-to-date on latest developments within the field
Coordinating with various teams working on distinct layers
Qualifications
Relevant qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology
Experience
In-depth knowledge of web technologies, in particular: JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end languages
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
Experience with cloud platform (AWS, Azure), primarily Azure
Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
Expertise with Next.js and its principles
Prior experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
Familiarity with more current specifications of EcmaScript
Prior experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
Familiarity with RESTful APIs
Familiarity with HTML / CSS
GIT experience is a plus
Knowledge of modern authorisation mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
Familiarity with Node.js
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Knowledge of performance testing tools
Experience testing and debugging
Familiarity with code versioning tools
