Windows on Arm Software Architect

Description -

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WOA/ARM Based Software Engineer at the Technical Master Level to join our dynamic team at HPI. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Microsoft Windows at all levels, including the OS, drivers, applications, language packs, and registry settings. In addition to this, the candidate should be well-versed in the OPK process and proficient in creating images from Microsoft as well as have great program management skills.

Responsibilities:

Windows Expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, including OS internals, drivers, applications, language packs, and registry settings.

  • Familiarity with Windows deployment processes and tools, especially the OEM Pre-installation Kit (OPK) for creating custom images.

Platform Differentiation:

  • Understanding the nuances and differences between Intel, AMD, and ARM platforms, with a focus on ARM architecture.

  • Ability to adapt software to optimize performance on ARM-based systems.

Software Development and Debugging:

  • Basic knowledge of ARM software development and debugging tools.

  • Experience on complex issues debugging and problem solution.

  • Proficient in software development with expertise in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) and traditional programming languages (C, C++, C#).

Program Management:

  • Proven program management skills with a track record of leading engineering efforts on ARM platforms.

  • Experience in coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

  • Ability to define and track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.

  • Ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows architecture and internals.

  • Demonstrated expertise in ARM architecture and Windows on ARM development.

  • Experience with the OPK process and image creation from Microsoft.

  • Knowledge of software development and debugging on ARM platforms.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) and programming languages (C, C++, C#).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Excellent program management skills to contribute effectively to engineering efforts.

Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with hardware platforms from Intel, AMD, and ARM.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
