This position requires an ONSITE presence 5 days per week at our One Madison Avenue location.

Our Consumer Support Front Office team provides technology and functional support to internal clients for issues including hardware, operating systems, desktop/web applications, mobility, conferencing, and printing. Our goal is to increase and enhance our users’ experience through the ability to self-service and automate contacts, and support users in adopting new technologies. We are the primary customer interface with technology and are responsible for supporting all customer-facing technologies.
Leads/directs subordinate leaders and professionals to manage one or more technology departments. Collaborates and negotiates with cross-functional senior leadership to establish a service/solution and/or product roadmap for technology departments. Ensures necessary resources are in place to deliver on firm objectives. Drives product and service delivery aligned to department goals, as well as technology innovation and execution. Provides Global Computing, Technology, and Office Services & Support to end users and ensures currency of software & hardware resources and lifecycle.
Accountable for multiple departments, including accountability for a cost center and staff; often provides direction to operational managers. Executes line of business plans and contributes to the development of the line of business strategy. Decisions are guided by function or major line of business operational strategy and priorities. Results of actions/decisions directly or indirectly affect some aspect of company operations or financial position.
Leads/directs subordinate leaders and professionals to manage departments:
Proposes, initiates and influences the strategy for multiple departments under their responsibility, leveraging business, technology and industry domain knowledge and expertise
Collaborates and negotiates with cross-functional senior leadership to establish a service/solution and/or product roadmap and ensure necessary resources are in place in order to deliver on firm objectives
Drives change and articulates and educates team about how IT changes support FTI's business strategy
Drives innovation with a focus on advancing capabilities and appropriate risk management to deliver quality products and services to the business and achieve strategic objectives of the department:
Defines service performance objectives, metrics and desired results for department of accountability
Sets framework and direction for programs, services/solutions and products
Drives product and service delivery aligned to department goals
Owns and drives product/process/program maturity
Serves as the point person for product or service area, defining and managing internal and external relationships related to the area:
Anticipates business challenges and brings technology solutions that add business value
Guides and influences others - both to understand and/or adopt a different point of view
Defines and proactively communicates product and service/solution expectations to technology staff and clients
Drives collaboration among team, stakeholders and clients, serving as a role model for the team
Leverages knowledge of industry trends and business needs to drive technology innovation and execution:
Describes complex technology concepts and value in business terms to drive enrollment amongst technology and business stakeholders
Makes hiring and termination decisions and leads mid- and senior-level (internal and external) talent, both individual contributors and managers, across the department:
Coaches and develops leaders to meet and/or exceed performance expectations
Accurately applies compensation philosophy and tools; identifies and evaluates exceptions around pay guidelines
Refines team structure as needs evolve
Provides strategic financial management, developing and managing budget for multiple departments (for which accountable), in partnership with senior leadership to ensure business goals are met within established financial targets
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a large global financial services organization
Proven history of managing complex IT infrastructure in a highly regulated environment, demonstrating strong knowledge of requirements and best practices
Experience in driving successful transformation initiatives in matrixed organization, with the ability to lead and influence
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Experienced in driving a culture of accountability and ownership
Experience in leading a distributed team across time-zones and regions
Sound stakeholder management abilities; able to build trust and align stakeholders across businesses and teams, levels, and technical ability
Keen strategic insight at the executive level, ensuring technical solutions align with business goals
Experience in identifying and managing a wide array of risks, including technical, staffing, scoping, and client relationship risks
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to foster trust and build a collaborative relationship with clients, stakeholders, and team members
Ability to mentor team members and foster a high-performance culture in large multidisciplinary teams
Ability to continuously improve delivery velocity by actively embracing automation and process optimization

There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $156,000 and $183,000.
