Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software for GE Healthcare products, including applications and cloud-based platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into software designs.
  • Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from design to testing and documentation.
  • Debug and resolve complex software issues and system integration challenges.
  • Improve software tools, processes, and methodologies to meet industry and regulatory standards.
  • Support innovation through the creation and writing of technical patents.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in software engineering and digital health.


Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with software development tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Git, Jira).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with healthcare or medical device industry standards (e.g., FDA, NMPA) is a plus.
  • Experience in AI-based programming is a plus.
  • Experience in writing or contributing to technical patent applications is a plus.
