Job Description

We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, you could have the flexibility of work-from-home time as defined by the leadership team.

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated Life Compliance Analyst to join our team. The position requires the following, but is not limited to:

  • Review and approve new producer appointment requests; update and maintain producer Life certifications in our system
  • Review, on an ongoing basis, State/Federal statues, regulations and bulletins that impact compliance requirements.
  • Evaluate current policies, procedures and products to ensure compliance with applicable laws. Make recommendations for change where appropriate.
  • Provide accurate and relevant information that will support decisions and determinations regarding all compliance related issues.
  • Assess risk potential of current procedures and recommend any necessary procedural changes to minimize loss exposure.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and to avoid future compliance problems.
  • Assist in the development of future compliance programs.
  • Ensure that any change in policy of procedure is clearly communicated, through both written and verbal means, to impacted departments/vendors. Follow up to ensure new procedures are understood and implemented.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read and interpret State and Federal statues, regulations, bulletins, other legislative correspondence, insurance policies and company procedures.
  • Ability to make decisions and meet deadlines. Ability to work efficiently with associates at all levels.
  • The ability to train others upon the request of the supervisor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional business image.
