About the role   He Aha Te Tūranga 

The Service Manager - Group will pride themselves on providing excellent service to groups, advisers and their agencies in a manner that promotes the ease of doing business with nib.  Through excellent interpersonal skills, negotiate commercial outcomes for nib that are sustainable and enhance positive client relationships. 
 

This will include:

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with an agreed portfolio, by
    providing excellent operational and sales support.
  • Communicate and negotiate renewal increases for a portfolio of groups in a
    manner that secures the commercial outcome nib requires, whilst maintaining the relationship with the external stakeholders.
  • Support acquisition of new groups by qualifying new group quote requests
  • Manage opportunities through the ‘new business’ pipeline including negotiation of pricing and delivery.
  • Manage the onboarding of new groups in collaboration with key internal
    stakeholders.
  • Manage all aspects of the adviser businesses within an agreed portfolio.
  • Maintain up to date records of all interactions and related processes in nib’s CRM system
  • Build and maintain excellent internal relationships across nib

About you  Ko Wai Koe

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, build and maintain relationships through clear and consistent communication, presenting ideas in a structured and persuasive manner whether in written proposals or verbal presentations.
  • Understanding the frameworks required for successful engagement with stakeholders and proactively manages competing stakeholder priorities to ensure positive outcomes for our advisers, groups, partners and members
  • Good negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to understand commercial outcomes; identifying potential risks in negotiations and escalating to manager 
  • Effectively manages existing business/renewals and has experience assessing how new business opportunities align with long-term sales strategies and overall company objectives
  • Initiative & ability to problem solve and produce "win-win" scenarios; confidence and ability to have difficult discussions with external stakeholders
  • Initiative and ability to problem solve and to identify and implement improvements 
  • Excellent time management and can operate in a methodical manner;
  • Can manage conflicting priorities confidently and continue to effectively deliver required outcomes when under pressure.
  • Experience in supporting a sales and/or adviser environment.
