Overall Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced Calypso Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive development experience in Calypso, including upgrade projects and migrations from legacy applications to the latest Calypso platforms. The role involves working closely with various stakeholders to design, develop, and implement solutions related to Fixed Income, Derivatives, Money Markets, Advances, Letters of Credit, and Equity products.

Technical Skills:

Calypso Development:

  • Extensive development experience (5+ years) in Calypso, including upgrade projects (preferably to version 18).
  • Experience with Calypso Pricing, Accounting, ERS, Workflows, Reporting, Task Station, and Scheduled Task functionality.
  • Experience with Calypso Hedge Accounting, Compliance, and Collateral Management Modules.
  • Proficiency in integrating Calypso with multiple platforms.

Financial Products:

  • In-depth experience with Fixed Income, Derivatives, Money Markets, Advances, Letters of Credit, and Equity products.
  • Knowledge of derivatives clearing affirmation processes.
  • Understanding of back-office processes like SWIFT messages, settlements, and accounting.

Programming and Tools:

  • Strong proficiency in Java, PL/SQL, and Linux.
  • Exposure to Jenkins, CI/CD, and Cloud Technologies (added advantage).

Experience:

  • Overall 10+ years of IT experience.
  • Extensive development experience (5+ years) in Calypso, including upgrade projects and migration from legacy applications.
  • Experience with Calypso versions 16.1 onwards.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of solutions in Calypso for Fixed Income, Derivatives, Money Markets, Advances, Letters of Credit, and Equity products.
  • Manage and execute Calypso upgrade projects and migrations from legacy applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Calypso custom modules and integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Calypso functionalities.
  • Monitor and optimize performance of Calypso applications.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Calypso or related technologies are a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership skills to manage a team of developers and drive projects to completion.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
