The Selling Experience team builds world-class business and consumer seller experiences on eBay. We are building awesome products and experiences that bring more customers to eBay and help our sellers scale their businesses to the next level. We are looking for a seasoned and versatile leader as chief of staff to join our team and help us make a big impact on millions of sellers around the world!
From day one, the chief of staff will have an immediate impact on our productivity, streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management, and communicating objectives between eBay teams. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a business management role, with a special focus on executive-level advising and interdepartmental collaboration.
What you will accomplish:
Work with and/or lead cross-functional teams for Seller Experience including budget allocations with finance teams and contract discussions for the alternate workforce
Act as a primary consultant to the Seller Experience Vice President, heavily involved in strategy, planning, and operations
Align company calendar for Seller Experience and ensure deadlines are being met
Establish business operating rhythms
Assist with internal communication, meeting with HR leaders and attending to staff needs, ensuring any problems are resolved
Keep Seller Experience VP abreast on current company climate (employee feedbacks, project statuses, new proposals, etc.)
Work with team leaders and present to senior executives
Build strong relationships with employees and oversee their progress, noting any issues or successes
Help coordinate business-wide procedures and work to improve existing processes for maximum clarity, efficiency, and success
Organize and coordinate staff functions and activities such as Hackweek, eBay Upfront with our customers, townhall, all-hands, employee offsites, etc.
Attend executive meetings and deliver progress reports

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field; MBA preferred
10+ years’ experience in a leadership/management role
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
$160,400 - $254,100Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
