WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a Senior Principal, Business HR, Global Marketing professional to help provide solutions, thought partnerships, and business talent strategies to senior leaders. We are looking for a passionate HR leader to communicate, execute, and deliver critical HR programs, best practices, and people solutions for our Global Marketing Team! We provide strategic consultation and coaching to executive/corporate leaders on organizational issues that contribute to the growth of the business and the team. We need a leader who will serve as a key resource for employees through sensing, listening, and providing mentorship. We are searching for an HR change agent who thrives in ambiguity, is flexible, and is adaptable to change in a fast-paced organization. Our ideal candidate has impeccable executive communication and presentation skills to communicate and disseminate information across all levels of the organization!

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

In this role, you will build organizational alignment and capability through the development and/or facilitation of appropriate leader-focused interventions with global and functional teams (e.g., team effectiveness, organizational design, employee engagement, etc.). You’ll also support the strategic workforce plans aligned with business strategies and objectives and apply diagnosis skills and core metrics to guide HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) in the shaping of appropriate and innovative HR solutions. You’ll provide HR expertise on business strategies, as well as sound business expertise, to members of Global Marketing. Finally, you will be accountable for succession and career planning, sharing business inputs with HR COEs and Employee Services, enabling them to create business-focused solutions.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

Alongside your team, you’ll help build and implement HR Strategy across business units and multiple teams. You will report to the Sr Director, Business HR - Global Marketing & Sports Marketing, but collaborate across all HR COEs. You are aligned to the Global Marketing organization and its leadership team.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE:

Required:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10 years directly relevant experience. Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 8 years; Masters + 9 years; Associates degree + 11 years; High School + 12 years.

  • 8+ years of demonstrated business-facing HR experience.

  • 4+ years in an HR Business Partner or similar role.

  • Well-developed industry knowledge, market insight, and proven enterprise thinking.

  • Demonstrable experience developing partnerships with business leaders, particularly in helping them architect and manage significant organizational change during periods of realignment and growth.

  • Ability to travel 10%.

Preferred:

  • Experience leading or partnering with Org Design/Org Effectiveness, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Recruiting, and Total Rewards.

  • Proven experience setting and leading organizational effectiveness, organization efficiency, and design initiatives, as well as multi-year talent strategies.

  • Experience supporting global marketing teams in large, matrixed, global organizations.
