Talent Acquisition is a core strategic driver of Zillow Group’s future success. As a part of the team, you will be responsible for recruitment strategies that enable strategic sourcing and engagement, talent attraction, and an inclusive identification and assessment process for all tech hiring across Zillow. As a strategic partner to our senior leadership team, you will understand the supporting teams and end users to identify and recommend strategies to move the organization to its executive hiring goals.

About the role

The Senior Manager, Technical Talent Acquisition will be a big part in the future growth for Zillow by leading our engineering recruiting team and working closely with the Tech Leadership team to set and develop recruiting strategies that meet business goals.

  • You own it. Practice and encourage a growth mindset across our function and with hiring partners supporting agility and responsiveness to the dynamic needs of the talent market and our businesses.

  • Support the analysis and facilitation of leadership and cultural initiatives. Use influence and mentoring skills to cultivate a culture that reflects our core values and leadership principles.

  • Model and lead the way in inclusive recruiting practices across all partners and drive strategy for and execution of hiring demand, organizational planning, and strategic talent programs.

  • You use operational discipline and build structured processes to streamline and enhance process improvements throughout the organization.

  • You lead your leaders with emotional intelligence and curiosity.

  • When driving strategy with your business partners, you tell stories with data to influence and organize.

  • You’ll bring fresh, creative thinking to long-standing, sophisticated challenges resulting in high-impact outcomes.

  • Balance and prioritize business needs with the company's strategies.

  • Act as a strategic business partner: you understand and connect a business strategy to a talent strategy and future talent needs.

  • Take the initiative to research potential solutions to the competitive talent landscape.

  • You will analyze relevant, cross-functional data and trends to provide insight and set multi-year strategies to meet hiring goals.

  • Proven track record in recruiting leadership with extensive experience in international expansion.

  • Required travel to Mexico on a quarterly basis to meet with the team.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $140,900.00 - $225,100.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Strong background in global recruiting (international locations) demonstrating success in sourcing top talent across different markets. 

  • A champion and driver of change.

  • Degree or equivalent practical experience in organizational psychology, organizational development, talent management, HR, or related field or any additional certifications and training relevant to the role.

  • 7+ years of talent acquisition experience in tech recruiting

  • Ability to operate with autonomy in ambiguous environments at scale.

  • Ability to deliver results while crafting an environment for others to grow and succeed!

  • Previous experience leading teams in other markets outside of the US preferred
