We’re seeking a passionate, hands-on, and comprehensive thinking Full stack Product Designer to join our kick-ass team at HP. As a Full Stack Product Designer you will work super-close with our UX, product, and technology teams to develop design concepts for our most challenging, complex, and innovative projects. You have a drive to tackle solving problems using a mix of your rich skillsets in digital design, guiding design team members in the next best step in the design process to create experiences across all devices with intuitive, elegant, and beautiful interfaces that drive engagement and loyalty to the HP brand. You have an acute sense of trendy vs. timely vs. timelessness and dream about bringing digital design to life through doing and orchestrating all the phases in design and UX.

Responsibilities:
Advocate User-Centered Solution: Help design and product teams prioritize solutions from the user’s perspective in all design decisions, ideation and solutioning.
Business goals: Proficient in balancing and navigating business goals as they relate to customer experience goals within the digital experience.
Customer Experience: Lead the creation of intuitive, user-centric designs for our digital products, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. You excel in simplifying complex user requirements and conducting user research to inform design decisions. This involves understanding user needs, the problems space, users flow, crafting micro-interactions, designing wireframes and prototypes, ensuring responsiveness and accessibility, and collaborating with developers for accurate implementation.
Interaction Design: Create aesthetically pleasing user interfaces that align with the brand identity and design guidelines, while maintaining consistency in design elements across the user interface, ensuring a cohesive and harmonious visual representation of the product. Generate both low-fidelity sketches and wireframes for concept exploration, and high-fidelity designs for detailed visual representations, covering various design stages. Additionally, you manage the handoff to developers with high-fidelity design assets, providing them with the resources needed for accurate implementation.
Agility and Versatility: the ability to quickly adapt to changes and pivot designs as the company priorities and strategies evolve, familiarity with lean methodologies for efficient design delivery with limited resources, the willingness and ability to take on various roles beyond traditional design, and the capacity to handle high-pressure, dynamic startup environments while maintaining a positive attitude in the face of challenges. Be ready to lend a helping hand when needed, especially during critical project phases, fostering a collaborative and supportive design environment.
Time and Stakeholder Management: Efficiently manage project timelines and deliver high-quality design solutions within set deadlines while building and maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional teams, product managers, and external stakeholders. This involves gathering insights, aligning on design goals, and ensuring project success through effective coordination and timely delivery.
Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and creative design environment, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including developers, content creators, and other designers. This includes staying conscious of development feasibility and complexity while proposing design solutions, based on the input from the developers, as well as ensuring efficient hand-off of high-fidelity design assets and resources needed for accurate implementation.
Innovation: Stay current with design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, integrating innovative ideas into our design processes.
Design System Integration: Integrate interaction design components into the overall design system, fostering consistency and scalability across products and features.
Requirements:
A designer who is involved in every stage of the product design process, from initial idea generation to final implementation
Wide range of skills including UX design, UI design, project management, UX writing, understanding development processes, design strategy, user research and conceptual thinking.
5+ years of professional experience as a UX/UI Designer or Product Designer
A portfolio demonstrating proven experience designing, iterating and shipping digital product solutions
Experience designing products with a high level of complexity, helping to guide them from inception (or redesign) to release to continued enhancement or sunset
Expert knowledge in product design frameworks and methodologies
Proficiency in Figma
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methodologies for user research, and A/B testing frameworks
Strong experience in sketching and prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions
Proven expertise in turning complex consumer problems into simple and engaging products for the web (including mobile web) and native mobile application
Excellent visual design skills with proficiency in typography, UI, information architecture, and aesthetic sense
Ability to take ownership of developed solutions and complex cross-area (cross-team) design tasks
Great communication and collaboration skills and ability to solve problems together with the team
Fluency in English (verbal and written)
A growth mindset, eager for collaboration and experimentation
Strong attention to detail and highly developed organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
The base pay range for this role is $118,050 to $181,800 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
