Job Description

SurePods (ORL), a part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking a Skilled Plumber to join our operation team. Must be a self-starter. The ideal candidate will have high volume production experience along with Fabrication and Manufacturing experience.

Job Description Summary

  • Skilled Plumber to work in one or multiple work areas along an assembly line, building pre-fabricated bathrooms.
  • Follow defined procedures and practices in our production process and offer suggestions for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot problems with assistance from peers or supervisors.
  • Exhibit teamwork skills and mentor new associates through training.
  • Complete quality paperwork as required.
  • Notify supervisor of any non-compliances to part and/or product standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • Ensuring safety standards and building regulations are met, at all times during the work process.
  • Working in coordination with construction or project managers to ensure plumbing projects are completed on time and within budget

Requirements/Skills

  • At least 2 years of plumbing experience in industrial or commercial construction
  • At least 5 years working for a manufacturing, healthcare, hospital or construction company is a plus.
  • Cutting, assembling, and installing pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing is a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials are required.
  • Knowledge and experience with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to take directions and work in a team environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Physical Environment

  • This job involves:  walking, standing, bending, scaffolding, ladders, lifting and stretching. 
  • It requires the use of hands and fingers to hold, grasp push and lift items.
  • Lifting requirements up to 40 lbs.
  • Dust, noise and heat are common working conditions. 
  • Occasional use of cleaning chemicals.

Additional:

  • Scheduled: Monday – Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
  • Hours 40-50 per week
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Eligible to work in the United States
