Job Summary:


The Red Hat Sales team is seeking a Specialist Solutions Architect to join us in Italy, preferably close to the Milan or Rome office. In this role, you will support the Ansible Sales team and provide pre-sales technical support to prospects. You'll work with key customers both on site and remotely to build a relationship of trust and confidence between Red Hat and the customer's engineering, development, and operations teams. To be successful, you'll need to gain an understanding of the customer's business needs and align those needs with the capabilities of our solutions. You will also play a crucial role in bringing together internal cross-functional teams to satisfy our most challenging customers. You'll serve as the customer's advocate with these teams to architect the best solution and ensure that it is implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way.

What You Will Do:

  • Deliver successful Red Hat Ansible workshops for small to medium teams of both technical and non-technical backgrounds that shape and influence customer use cases and architecture design decisions.

  • Scope evaluations and guide customers through successful proofs of concept and pilot deployments.

  • Design, create, and deliver content that enables the broader Red Hat organization to sell, service, and support Red Hat Ansible solutions at scale.

  • Work closely with internal product teams, Product Engineering, Professional Services, Support, and Sales to ensure a world-class customer experience with Red Hat’s products

  • Contribute to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale Red Hat’s services capabilities, promote repeatable customer engagements, and lower delivery risk.

  • Demonstrate thought leadership in the Ansible communities by producing world-class white papers, webinars, etc., and speaking at industry leading conferences.

What You Will Bri:

  • 10+ years of IT industry experience, working in regulated industries including retail, finance, and power

  • Solid Linux system administration skills at the level Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or higher, although certifications are not required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience

  • Solid background in consultative customer engagement with a major professional services organization or within the services division of a major software company

  • Track record of working in a strategic advisory role to senior IT and business executives

  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, including extensive experience presenting to C-level executives at large firms

  • Solutions-sales mentality in an environment with multiple products and services

  • Ability to work seamlessly with distributed, cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers

  • Excellent balance of strategic and tactical skills with a high level of intellectual agility and capacity for original thought

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

  • Business-level communication and presentation skills in English
