As the Technical Sales Specialist GIS Extension, you ensure a customized solution and coordinate with all internal/external stakeholders for Hitachi Energy and end-customers. You are leading tender internally in service organization and you are providing the training and sharing knowledge to our local sales staff. You are working closely together with our Product Service Center, our Local Service Center as well as World-Class Front-End Sales. With your technical know-how, market-presence and customer understanding you develop our GIS extension solution and ensure profitable growth and high customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities

  • Receive Tenders, initial assessment, distribute tasks and work packages in organization (PM, Engineering, SCM) Lead Tender technically in Service Organization - handover to Area Sales Manager for commercial responsibility

  • Track tasks within organization

  • Define technical solution together with engineering if needed; clarify scope and share of supply

  • Prepare all costs correctly and provide market price recommendation (overview globally)

  • Perform on site measurements if required to define solution and/or interface

  • Train Local Service Center on complex topic of Extensions

  • Develop overview of all type of GIS Extensions (Especially 3rd Party)

  • Provide fast budgetary offers

  • Technical support for GIS projects in Sales Team

  • Deputy for Area Sales Manager in time of absence

Your background

  • Higher education with technical and/or commercial focus (University, FH, TS or similar)

  • Very strong technical and sales competencies in power plant business, including GIS knowhow

  • Strong knowledge about utilities

  • Several years of work experience, preferably in a similar position

  • Good knowledge with SAP, MS Office

  • Drive and persistence combined with strong technical skills

  • Fluent in English, other languages (e.g. German) are a plus

  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
