Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Join the Digital Trust Compliance team in Digital Citizenship in a brand new Director role.  This role is a crucial thought-leadership role that will be at the forefront of supporting key strategic initiatives and risks, including privacy governance processes for cross-border data transfers and Walmart’s global marketplace operations.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Trust Compliance, this Director will collaborate with technology, business, and Global Governance partners in the digital trust space to build and implement new privacy governance processes.    

What you will do...  

  • Lead the development privacy governance controls and processes in support of global cross-border data transfers and privacy controls for Walmart’s marketplace operations. 
  • Engage with teams across technology, business groups, and Global Governance to develop and implement Digital Trust programs.  
  • Collaborate with legal stakeholders, market privacy subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to identify risks and required controls related to cross border data transfer processes and international privacy requirements for marketplace operations.
  • Collaborate with legal teams for the ongoing monitoring and assessment of changes in international privacy laws to assess potential changes to privacy controls.
  • Develop internal standards to support necessary governance controls.
  • Coordinate and communicate guidance with technology, business and legal stakeholders on process and system-level privacy requirements.  
  • Develop reports and dashboards for performance and efficiency metrics, trends, and SLAs. Develop documentation and playbooks for operations procedures and policies.
  • Enhance workflows through process improvements and tool recommendations.  
     

What you will bring...

  • Degree in a technical field, process management or improvement, or law AND 5+ years of relevant work experience in domestic or international privacy compliance, OR 7+ years of relevant work experience in domestic or international privacy compliance.
  • Background in process and program development, privacy, technology or data.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain required privacy controls to a diverse set of stakeholders in a variety of business and technical functions. 
  • Experience working with technical and business teams (Product, Engineering) to develop implement compliance controls into applications.  
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use data to improve processes and drive decisions strong communication skills, business judgment, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 5 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 3 years’ supervisory experience. 4 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
