Job Description:

We are seeking a Finance Analyst (SFA) to support finance operations across 3 markets plus central Team within EMEA Mid-Size Market (MSM) with expectations of an extended scope. This role is pivotal in building a robust Finance Operations backbone for the region.

As a key member of the Business Unit Finance (BUF) you will:

  • Own and execute critical reporting and finance processes within Business Unit Finance.
  • Driving standardization, simplification, digitalization, and process maturity across the Mid-Sized markets.
  • Collaborate closely with local BUF and cross-functional teams and provide optimized decision support, analytical value creation and resource optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive standardization and achieve digital maturity across financial processes in Reporting (sales, Opex, cash flow, headcount, resource allocation), Planning (Anaplan inputs), Closing (including intercompany), Master Data Management, and Compliance.
  • Input planning data into company’s forecasting tools to ensure accurate data in the financial systems data to allow for automated reporting and ease of analysis
  • Support the finance team in the periodic financial performance reviews & budget variance analysis by providing an overview of performance to the Management team and regional leadership teams
  • Support the BUF owned controls on BVA and revenue contract assessments, conducting variance analysis to compare actual results with budgeted figures, identifying drivers behind variances
  • Facilitate best practice sharing and foster a culture of collaboration across virtual teams.
  • Take the lead on ad-hoc projects

Education and/or experience required for the role

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in finance.
  • Broad experience in FP&A and business partnering is prefered
  • Experience of working in a regional/ global organisation with matrix business relationships
  • Digital proficiency: Advanced Excel, Power BI, ERP systems; understanding of master data and system-based processes. Automation experience desired (e.g Power Automate or UiPath).
  • Preferably familiar with pharma worldwide procedures, practices and systems
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).
