We are looking for a Senior Manager, Security & IT to lead the design and implementation of our security programs and ensure the overall integrity of our IT operations. In this role, you will be responsible for building and executing robust security strategies that align with the needs of our business units and IT operations while managing security tools and resources to protect our technology infrastructure.

Interesting problems you’ll solve

  • Lead the development, management, and continuous improvement of the company’s security program, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational needs.
  • Oversee the selection, deployment, and management of security tools across the organization, ensuring comprehensive coverage of security monitoring, detection, and prevention capabilities.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of IT infrastructure, including network security, endpoint security, identity and access management (IAM), and cloud security (particularly Azure environments).
  • Act as the security liaison for various business units, ensuring their specific security and IT requirements are met while supporting their growth and innovation initiatives.
  • Manage incident response and ensure that the organization is equipped to respond to and mitigate security incidents, minimizing impact on operations.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management strategy, conducting regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure the proper functioning and integration of security solutions (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, EDR, vulnerability management tools), working with vendors and internal teams for updates, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
  • Partner with leadership across the organization to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the security and IT teams, ensuring continuous development of staff skills and security awareness across the organization.
  • Oversee IT operations, ensuring that security is embedded into operational processes and that infrastructure is resilient, scalable, and secure.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • 10+ years of experience in Security, with at least 7 years in a leadership role, managing highly scalable technology platforms in a product-driven organization.
  • Proven experience in the financial industry security governance, with an in-depth understanding of PCI DSS, SOC2, ISO 27001, and state regulations.
  • Hands-on experience securing Azure environments and leading security initiatives for cloud infrastructure.
  • In-depth knowledge of global security and privacy programs and regulatory requirements.
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+, or comparable Information Security Assurance certifications are highly beneficial.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a demonstrated ability to build and grow teams, foster innovation, and implement effective processes.

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A track record of building secure, scalable infrastructure and managing IT and security processes in high-growth organizations.
  • Ability to foster a culture of security awareness across all levels of the organization.

Zip is committed to a straightforward and transparent pay structure. The actual base salary will be determined by various individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location, internal equity, as well as other objective business considerations.

The annual base Pay Range for this position is $200,000 - $230,000 . This range reflects our US national compensation (USN). Additional premium percentages may apply based on our tiered premium strategy.

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. 

If hired, employees will be in an 'at-will position' and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
