We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join our team as the Director of Data Analysis and Integration. This pivotal role demands a visionary who can not only lead and mentor a team of skilled data analysts but also manage comprehensive data analysis processes, from collection to model deployment. The ideal candidate will have CPG industry experience and a robust background in data ingestion management, data transformation, and the creation of valuable data assets, ensuring that our data pipelines are both scalable and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Development

  •   Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback.

Data Analysis Process Management

  • Manage the end-to-end data analysis process, from data collection and preprocessing to model development and deployment.
  • Assign data analysis tasks to team members based on their skills and the requirements of specific use cases.
  • Review and validate the results of data analysis to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and comfort working with less than perfect data and raw sources.

Data Ingestion Management

  • Oversee the entire data ingestion process, ensuring data is accurately and efficiently collected from various sources.
  • Implement best practices for data ingestion, including data validation, cleaning, and transformation.
  • Work with corporate technology team to ensure the scalability and reliability of data ingestion pipelines.

Data Transformation and Asset Creation

  •  Develop processes and methodologies to transform unclean and raw data into valuable data assets.
  • Guide the team in building robust data assets that feed into the data science, automation, and advanced analytics teams.
  • Ensure the creation of high-quality, well-documented data sets that are ready for analysis and modeling.
  • Guide tool usage based on the strategic tech stack to ensure best overall support for data asset creation

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for data analysis function that best supports high impact use cases.
  • Align data initiatives with the overall business goals and use case priority.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovations in data management.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with other departments to understand data needs and ensure data solutions meet customer requirements.
  • Communicate complex data-related concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Present findings and insights to leadership teams to inform strategic decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, information systems, or a related field.  A master's degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience, with 7+ years, of direct work-related experience, leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).
  • 7 years of experience in data analysis and analytic development supporting CPG.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor information to different audiences
  • Supported one or more large CPG based analytics functions (Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Pricing, Product, etc.)
  • Hands on experience with JDE, SAP, QAD, or similar large enterprise ERP
  • Hands on experience with cloud-based analytics architecture (AWS, Azure, Databricks)

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$143,800 - $239,600
