The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Cyber Security Information Assurance Technician (Level I) with experience with managing, upgrading, securing, documenting a Linux and Microsoft based server/client development architecture in Aberdeen, MD.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for sustaining the overall health and security of a Linux based development lab. 



Responsibilities:
  • Documenting all software, firmware, hardware and network modifications
  • Implement applicable patches including IA vulnerability alerts (IAVA), IA vulnerability bulletins (IAVB), and technical advisories (TA) for the CE operating system(s).
  • Assist in the system security authorization processes.
  • Assist in writing and developing System Security Plans (SSPs), Plan Of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms), Risk Assessments, Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and supporting documentation for systems subject to NIST SP 800-53.
  • Perform IS security briefings, report all security incidents and investigate, document and report, as well as provide protective and corrective measures in response to such incidents. 
  • An understand/knowledge of Cybersecurity RMF Controls Validation Testing

Qualifications:

Required: 
  • AA/2-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Technology, or related scientific or technical discipline with 3 years experience. 
  • AT Least 3 years administrating, securing, and maintaining Linux based systems
  • Solid understanding of RedHat Linux Server computing environment,  platforms/environments and vendor specific appliance support
  • Solid understanding of a Windows server client computing environment, platforms/environments and vendor specific appliance support
  • Knowledge of the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and EMASS RMF processes
  • Qualified at the IAT Level II for the DoD Information Assurance Workforce, must possess one of the following certifications: CISSP SEC+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP
  • TS/SCI
Desired:
  • Technical Writing experience (creating/updating IA policy & procedure documentation)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities
  • Must be able to work well on independent engagements as well as within a team setting
  • Strong client presence and interaction abilities
  • Some understanding of military hierarchy.
  • REDHAT Certification
  • Windows Server Certification
  • Experience with classified removeable media control

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$48,300-$96,600
