About the Role

Location - This person will be able to come to our office at least twice a week.

We are seeking an experienced, customer focused Senior Application Specialist Jira and Confluence to join our Information Technology and Security organization. You will manage Atlassian tool migrations, configurations, upgrades, and installations.  As part of our dedicated team, you will apply specialized delivery skills to address implementation needs, ensuring high-quality solutions. What you will do:

  • Manage a strategic roadmap for our Atlassian tooling and interface with executive leaders across our various lines of business.
  • Gather requirements and build out required flows and system integrations between our Atlassian and other applications.
  • Consolidations of multiple Atlassian applications and environments
  • Lead and design consolidation efforts resulting from any future acquisition activities.
  • Migrations from 3rd party tools into Atlassian applications
  • Migrations to/from Atlassian Cloud
  • Provide support to client administrators and users to ensure the success of implemented solutions.
  • Troubleshoot issues and problems including minor and major outages.
  • Installations and configurations of third-party add-ons for Atlassian tools to provide enhanced capabilities.
  • Zero end user interruption upgrades of existing Atlassian applications to the latest versions
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Create or oversee the creation of reports, dashboards and plan views based on user requirements.
  • Implement security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data stores within Atlassian tools
     

What you will need to be successful in the role:

  • 7+ years of experience with configuration and administration of Atlassian Products
  • Progressive experience consolidating multiple Atlassian environments.
  • Experience managing reports on Jira and supported visualization tools.
  • Technical expertise integrating Atlassian applications with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, ProductBoard, LucidChart, etc.
  • Working experience migrating Atlassian tools to/from Atlassian Cloud
  • Experience with Linux and Windows-based operating systems
  • Prior system administration experience and understanding of associated concepts like networking, access, storage, database, resource management.
  • Proven experience designing, configuring, and evolving customized projects/spaces to include issue type scheme design, screen scheme design, new field design and workflow design and configuration.
  • Conceptual and practical knowledge of SDLC and Agile Frameworks
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to effectively communicate with internal customers.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work with diverse teams across different time zones. Able to work independently with minimal guidance in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables at any given time through effective time management and planning.
  • Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and willingness to work in a team environment.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant work experience
