Job Profile Summary:
The Associate Manager, Payments primary responsibilities are supervising the Payments team and managing the workload and productivity of assigned team. This position is responsible for control and oversight of all clinical trial payments, ensuring they are processed in compliance with SOC 1 policies and procedures and that all payments are processed with accuracy and meeting Global Banking standards.
Responsibilities:
• Effectively balances workload across the team to ensure contractual commitments are achieved
• Ensures team members are trained and qualified to carry out their responsibilities
• Responsible for control and oversight of all clinical trial payments, ensuring they are processed in compliance with SOC 1 policies and procedures
• Supervise the set-up of investigator grant payment recommendations for review and approval by the payment processors, troubleshooting problems as they occur
• Promptly investigate and correct and rejected or returned Payment
• Oversee the monthly Outstanding Check SOC 1 Control
• Responsible to complete all necessary journal entries for the Treasury Dept. on a timely basis
• Manage Payment Teams ticket providing excellent customer service to the CTP organization, our Sponsors and their sites
• Manage the FO departmental metrics report and all other necessary payment reports to the organization Responsible for development and maintenance of the resource capacity plan and works with FO COE Sr Managers to ensure appropriate and timely resource levels
• Other duties as assigned
Experience: Typically 2 - 3 years of prior relevant experience.
Knowledge: Requires intermediate level knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of a job area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
Education: Bachelor's Degree - Business or Equivalent
Additional Work Experience:
Related business experience
Prior experience at a biotechnology company, CRO, pharmaceutical company preferred

• Must be able to supervise a team
• Must be customer focused and have excellent written and oral communication skills
• High energy, self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Able to think independently, and to analyze and solve problems creatively
• Strong time management and planning skills
• Comfortable working in a global company environment
• Strong PC skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, Google, MS Project, SAP-Business One)
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines
• Ability to analyze processes to gain efficiencies
