What you'll do...

As part of the Walmart Global sourcing organization, you will be responsible to build high performing systems and systems integrations which are production ready for an enterprise level source to commit platform.
 

We are looking for a Full-stack Senior Software engineer with engineering knowledge in Java and React, and is motivated to build a robust software solutions at an enterprise level.

About Team:
Focusing on customer, associate and business needs, this team works with Walmart International, which includes more than 5,200 retail units, operating in 23 countries such as Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Mexico and South Africa to name a few.

What you'll do:

  • Build and maintain backend software services that integrates with Walmart owned systems and 3rd party softwares.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, Asyn messages allowing 3rd party software to consume and produce events and process the business flows within the systems.
  • Work on REST APIs, Serverless, and event-driven microservices.
  • Utilize Spring Boot or Spring Framework in Java to design and implement low-latency REST APIs with Azure SQL Server and Cassandra as storage systems
  • Create and deploy large-scale, containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in public clouds like Walmart, Google GCP and Microsoft Azure.
  • Collaborate with other scrum teams, QE, Product, Program Management, and 3rd party teams, while partnering with cross-functional project development teams
  • Involve in production roll outs, support activities, and achieve target standards for Engineering excellence and operational excellence.
  • Mentor and Develop software engineers and lead engineering projects.
  • Coordinate, create, and complete High and low technical design discussions to drive technical architecture.

What you'll bring:

  • 7+ years hands on experience in Java or similar tech stack
  • Strong Full Stack experience (extensive knowledge of both front and back-end technologies)
  • Spring Boot or Spring Framework
  • RESTful Microservices development
  • Relational and/or NoSQL Database experience (Cassandra, Cosmos, Oracle, Azure SQL)
  • Experience with node.js / react.
  • Cloud – Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Full software life cycle development experience
  • Experience with clustering software like Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Ansible, Mesos and good understanding on container orchestrations.
  • Strong ability in problem solving.
  • Worked on monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Experience with configuring or implementing Build & Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline and infrastructure as a service.
  • Strong base knowledge of computer science, with competencies in algorithms, software design for embedded systems and data structures
  • Good understanding of latest trends of tools and technology in software development and software test automation space
  • A strong sense of accountability and ownership, self-discipline, and focus on high-quality deliverables, and a team-oriented approach that values design thinking, efficiency, and innovation.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
