Job Description

The FP&A Senior Analyst will be a key player on our Corporate FP&A team. This person will support the core FP&A processes and continuously enhance the Company’s forecasting and long-term planning abilities. The right person will be a self-starter intent on creating new insights with deep financial analysis and cross functional partnerships. 

Reporting to the Senior Manager of FP&A, this person will be responsible for the financial cadence and structure at Butterfly. As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be: 

  • Analyze financial and operational information to identify underlying business drivers and trends that inform management decisions
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting (Revenue, COGS, OpEx, CAPEX, Headcount) - analyze financial results, distill key trends, perform variance analysis, and communicate key messages to CFO and senior management 
  • Manage the corporate budget and partner with business process owners to monitor departmental budget performance, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions
  • Support the annual budgeting process, collaborating with various departments to gather and consolidate information
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support long-term planning and drive better resource allocation and investment decisions 
  • Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and finance business partners to synthesize and integrate updates relating to budget and planning
  • Support the Senior Manager of FP&A and VP of Finance & Accounting in ad hoc and specific analyses that inform long term, strategic business choices/decisions 

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

  • 2-5 years of experience in FP&A, Investment Banking, Management Consulting
  • Experience in Financial Modeling and Analysis
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Attention to detail 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment 
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Adept at MS Excel/GoogleSheets and creating compelling Powerpoint presentations 

Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!):

  • Experience in med-tech/health-tech/med-device business preferred 
  • Experience establishing/maintaining financial rhythm in well established environments
  • Experience with Adaptiv, Netsuite, and/or Salesforce

 

Location

At Butterfly we offer a hybrid work environment. For most employees, this means part time in the office (two or more days a week). Based on functional responsibilities and equipment needs, certain roles will require full time on-site support, and select roles will be eligible to be remote.

This is a hybrid position and will be based out of our office in New York City, NY.

Compensation 

Our estimated salary for this role is between $110,000 - $120,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual pay is determined by multiple factors such as skills, qualifications, experience and market demand.
