A Director of Compensation oversees the administration, and execution of compensation programs within the organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that internal compensation practices are fair, competitive, and aligned with the company’s broader business objectives. You will be responsible for Compensation Plan Management, Job Evaluation, Market Analysis, and Compliance and Governance

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the design and implementation of compensation strategies that align with the company’s business goals and overall HR strategy.
  • Ensure that compensation programs are competitive within the industry and meet the needs of the organization and its employees.
  • Oversee the administration of salary structures, incentive plans, bonuses, and merit increases.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of compensation data across internal systems.
  • Conduct job evaluations and market benchmarking to ensure roles are appropriately classified and compensated.
  • Partner with external compensation survey providers to gather market data and assess the competitiveness of internal compensation programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant compensation regulations, including FLSA, pay equity laws, and other regional or global requirements.
  • Provide oversight on internal pay equity analyses and ensure adherence to governance processes.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to ensure performance management and rewards programs are effectively linked to compensation structures.
  • Align compensation with employee performance, career progression, and overall organizational goals.
  • Work closely with leadership, HR, and finance to manage compensation budgets and strategic planning.
  • Train HR teams and managers on compensation philosophy, practices, and related processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing compensation programs, recommending changes or enhancements as necessary to support talent retention and recruitment.
  • Foster collaboration with other departments, including HR, finance, and legal teams.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is usually required.
