Responsibilities:

• Functional and disciplinary leadership of a highly specialized FSI team of approximately 6 people
• Active involvement in the design of gas and liquid seals
• Derivation, definition, and further development of binding methods, guidelines, and standards for FSI‑based seal design
• Quality assurance and continuous improvement of FSI models, methods, and processes
• Close technical collaboration with the FEA, CFD, and software simulation teams
• Technical point of contact and sparring partner for development projects and adjacent R&D departments

Qualifications:

• Completed university degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, physics, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in the simulation and design of mechanical seals
• Excellent knowledge of FSI methods, numerical simulation, and physical modeling
• Experience in defining and implementing technical standards, guidelines, or best practices
• Experience in applying and further developing modern future-oriented technologies, e.g., generative AI, surrogate models, and advanced optimization methods
• Initial leadership experience or strong motivation to take on a team lead role in a small team with a high level of individual responsibility
• Structured, analytical working style and the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly
