About our Lending Business:
FIS’ Capital Markets Lending Business provides mission-critical software and services to institutions engaged in lending and financing. Within the Capital Markets Division, our team members, located across the globe, focus on supporting industry participants in tier 1-4 banks as well as in the auto & asset financing industry and credit institutions. Next to selling Licensed software, the business has a managed services suite, including cloud hosting and IT services, application management for FIS and non-FIS software and business process outsourcing for key processes supported by FIS technology, as well as subscription models.
The mission:
This newly created key strategic leadership role reports to the Head of Solutions Management and interlocks with peers in our Technology space. Adopting a design-centric approach to create solutions that are user-friendly, scalable, and adaptable, and working in close collaboration with other cross-functional leaders in the group, this role is focused on defining the business unit’s go-forward Platform and Partners Ecosystem Strategy as well as its successful execution. Given the strategic nature of this role, you will be expected to contribute to the business across both Product Management and more broadly the entire Lending business.
What you'll be doing:
You'll be tasked with helping ideate, design, architect, promote and successfully deliver solutions for the Platforms Solutions segment and will be responsible for:
Providing the strategic business and go-to-market vision.
Help shape the investment strategy over time.
Defining the marketplace growth strategy.
Designing the frictionless onboarding & partner API strategies.
Partnering with Technology to ensure complete interlock on Product Roadmap and ownership of prioritization.
Exploiting synergies across the architectural assets developed and available across the entire enterprise.
Championing the introduction of new architecture assets that have an impact across the entire enterprise maximizing reusability, flexibility, and maintainability.
Additionally, as part of the role, you'll:
Prepare and present product strategy reviews.
Monitor and understand product’s profit and loss statement. May be responsible for revenue and profitability of assigned products.
Provide content for product roadmaps, ensures timely delivery, and provide business reasons for any changes/revisions made to roadmaps.
Manage product plan by ensuring changes in market and business priorities including integration needs and technology advancements are reflected.
Collaborate with senior management to provide content for market messages, sales collateral, and as needed RFPs (request for proposal).
Complete business scope documents and defines and document user personas for individual products.
Collaborate with vendor support managers for oversight and maintenance of all secondary and support vendor relationships.
Work closely with development teams to review enhancement requests for strategic value and align resources to high priority project.
Provide presentations to clients during business reviews, prospect briefings and internal group meetings.
Present status updates at quarterly and annual stakeholder meetings.
Demonstrate leadership by establishing and articulating a clear vision of success and how goals and objectives will be achieved.
Engage and interact with clients during feedback sessions, focus groups, user groups and requirements gathering sessions. Practices open and honest communications with clients.
Act as product launch manager for new products or rollouts of major releases.
Act as escalation point for client issues that require product change resolution (does not include standard problem escalation process.
Determine and approve all service level agreements (SLAs) related to products and includes with business scope documents.
What you bring:
Minimum of 10 years of solution management experience in the financial services industry, preferably on the software vendor side.
Deep experience ideating and successful delivering platform focused solutions in the financial industry.
Commercial lending experience, preferably in the auto & asset financing industry
Strategic mindset
Experience with working with outside vendors (Development, System integrators, IP Partners, etc)
Experience with several platform technologies, environments, and architectural setups
Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.
Project management skills: ability to prioritize and complete tasks.
Requires leadership and negotiation skills.
Great general business skills and advanced notions of P&L, Revenue forecasting and investment best practices.
Solid industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision, and executive presence.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner.
Client relationship management skills, understanding and focusing on clients’ needs, establishing credibility, and building positive, professional, relationships with clients.
Team skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within organization, internally and externally.
