ACS (Advanced Compute & Solutions) is seeking a Solutions Program Manager to lead ACS Business operations on our high growth, future-oriented businesses, including Data Science, AI and other emerging areas. This role will work with some of the most exciting up-and-coming products in HP.
The Solutions Program Manager is accountable for the ACS Solution Lifecycle programs and owns the implementation of foundational program governance practices that enable Solutions program teams to execute effectively and efficiently, while delivering innovative product offerings that serve customer needs and desires. The Solutions Program Manager is responsible for the development and execution management of program plans and specifications for business initiatives or for the release of new products. Organize and lead cross-functional teams to ensure the execution of all deliverables to meet the needs of a complete solution on schedule. Ensures ownership and alignment is achieved between external and internal partners to meet program goals as defined by the lifecycle and other processes. Acts as the champion of the complete solution for the products or initiative for which she/he is responsible. Provides leadership, guidance, direction and focus to ensure R&D, marketing and supply chain teams achieve their plans and schedules. With the changing customer requirements, the Solution Program Manager will need to demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities to improve program and business processes and lead the way to develop and implement best practices
Due to the advanced and unique one-of-the-kind or first-of-its-kind nature of the solutions or services being managed, the Solution program Manager must demonstrate a strong entrepreneurship capability while adhering to scalable and repeatable program management and/or agile practices. Each program may have varying combinations of hardware, software, and services, to serve various type of customer personas and GTM methods. Ultimately, you will ensure that all functions are in line with our business goals.

Responsibilities:
Manages and leads key programs involving multiple functions and program teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for multiple products or service offerings for a Global Business Unit.
Directs the development of overall program strategy and general program requirements to deliver to business objectives.
Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with business unit management and internal manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to products, processes, or business practices to drive continuous improvement and manage program costs.
Develops the execution plan which defines the objectives, deliverables and detailed plans. Negotiates alternatives to achieve an executable plan that meets the program objectives.
Responsible for identifying key milestones, assessing resources needed and obtaining resource commitments from key partners. Works with peers and managers in other functional areas – Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Support and other to ensure the program can be delivered as defined.
Sets objectives and priorities and drives tradeoff decisions between program plans/schedules. Ensures ownership by appropriate team, manager or organization. Influences partner organizations to meet program objectives
Leads the cross-functional program team activities. Reviews and coordinates the numerous execution plans and schedules to monitor deliverables and potential slips in schedule, quality or cost. Proactively identifies risks and linkages. Anticipates potential problems. Ensures contingency plans are created and proper coordination occurs.
Responsible for surfacing issues and disconnects within the program and managing all such issues to resolution. Track and resolve all conditions and exceptions to closure.
The first level of escalation when issues and/or priorities cannot be resolved at the team level. Ensures ownership of escalations
Effectively and proficiently communicates status, issues and resolutions to the program team and key stakeholders. Prepares and delivers checkpoint presentations to management.
Ensures program decisions are supported by timely and effective change management practices
Instills focus on complete and timely delivery of the specified program objectives while balancing customer and business objectives.
Builds relationships across functional teams and businesses to drive change within and outside of the organization by aligning with other teams on common goals and objectives
Display a breadth and depth of business acumen to connect day-to-day activities support the overall business strategy.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, computer science, business management, or equivalent.
10+ years of relevant industry experience with demonstrated knowledge of SaaS software program management processes, tools and delivery.
PMP/PMI certification preferred.
Experience with Agile development processes and delivery.
Knowledge and Skills:
Leadership skills including coaching, teambuilding, and conflict resolution.
Advanced program management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, project structuring and schedule building and tracking.
Experience designing and developing project and program planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.
History of innovation with examples of developing new technical, engineering and/or manufacturing processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and local language.
Ability to effectively communicate program management architectures, plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at business unit levels.
Strong business acumen and extensive knowledge in SaaS software delivery and technologies
Advanced multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
Understanding of HP's policies and processes a plus
The base pay range for this role is $137,000 to $211,000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
