Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the preparation, review and timely filing of Yahoo’s U.S. indirect tax obligations with the support of third-party outsource firms. These obligations include sales, use, gross receipts, real and personal property tax, and business licenses.
Oversee and manage the preparation, review and timely filing of U.S. indirect tax account reconciliations and journal entries along with accounting and financial control obligations.
Develop and implement globally consistent and locally compliant indirect tax business processes and internal controls.
Manage U.S. indirect tax audits and ensure compliant and globally consistent tax audit defense strategies.
Coordinate with, support and advise the business with respect to all U.S. indirect tax matters.
Qualifications:
Tax professional with CPA; an accounting / tax license or professional designation is strongly preferred.
At least 7 years of indirect tax experience in a multinational corporate tax team or an accounting firm.
Industry experience in technology / e-commerce is a plus.
Detailed knowledge of U.S. sales taxes is a requirement.
Experience with real and personal property tax and business licenses is a plus.
Significant experience in a large global business operation with cross-functional teams is a plus.
Strong analytical skills, interpersonal, and written / verbal communication skills with the ability to solve problems and strong attention to details.
Experience with Oracle is required.
Experience with a well-recognized sales/use tax engine is a requirement. Experience with Vertex is strongly preferred.
Strong MS Office skills required with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
The role is U.S. based and reports to a person in Virginia.

The compensation for this position ranges from $110,625.00 - $230,625.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
