Position Overview: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to drive new direct relationships with advertisers in the FMCG, FinServ, and Auto sectors. This role is crucial in expanding our client base and establishing strategic partnerships that contribute to our company's growth.

 

What you'll do:

  • New Business Acquisition: Identify, target, and secure new direct relationships with key advertisers in the FMCG, FinServ, and Auto industries. Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth and increase market share.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers, including CMOs, heads of programmatic, and other key stakeholders within target brand organizations. Leverage these relationships to unlock new business opportunities.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy focused on penetrating and expanding our presence in the FMCG, FinServ, and Auto sectors. Tailor approaches to meet the unique needs and objectives of each potential client.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead negotiations and secure contracts with new clients, ensuring favorable terms and successful partnership agreements. Manage the end-to-end process from initial contact to contract signing.
  • Market Expertise: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics within the FMCG, FinServ, and Auto sectors. Use this knowledge to position The Trade Desk as a leader and trusted partner in the digital advertising space.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the product, marketing, and client services teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to execution. Provide insights and feedback to improve our product offerings and client engagement strategies.
  • Performance Tracking: Set and monitor KPIs to measure the success of business development efforts. Regularly report on progress and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets.

 

Who you are:

  •  Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a strong track record of signing and managing direct relationships with advertisers in the FMCG, FinServ, and Auto sectors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape and the specific needs of FMCG, FinServ, and Auto brands.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a proven ability to close deals and secure long-term partnerships.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, with a focus on driving business growth and achieving long-term success.
  • Collaboration: A team player who can work effectively across departments to achieve shared goals.
