Production Operator — Summary Job Description

• Role: Operate and monitor production equipment to manufacture parts/products to specification while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity targets.
• Key responsibilities: Set up, start-up, and shut down machines; load/unload materials; perform in-process inspections and basic quality checks; follow work orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report defects; record production data and maintain clean, organized work area; participate in continuous improvement and safety programs.
• Minimum Requirements for Position: (Education, skills, experience, etc.) Production Operator: - Required skills/traits: Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, basic math and measuring skills, reliable attendance, teamwork, and good communication.
• Typical qualifications: Diploma or equivalent; prior manufacturing or machine-operation experience preferred; forklift/technical certifications a plus.
