Job Description:

Essential Functions:      

Includes the following (other duties may be documented and assigned by local management and some duties may not apply dependent upon the requirements of the position at each specific (HIAMS)AM site and/or the strengths of the employee and the needs of the company):

  • Developing and maintaining Quality Systems.

  • Facilitating root cause analysis.

  • Assisting in supplier development Visiting customers as necessary; working to meet customer satisfaction.

  • MIR disposition and QIR disposition. PSW production runs. Implements, monitors and reviews SPC programs.

  • Training technicians in Quality Measurement techniques and reporting.

  • Providing support and data to other departments as necessary.

  • Continually working to reduce defects in area of responsibility through cross functional continuous improvement teams.

  • Cooperating with all other personnel as necessary.

  • Daily/weekly/monthly Quality reports to the Q.A. Manager

  • Tracks continuous improvement through measurable reports/graphs.

  • Responsible for scrap meetings daily and scrap reports weekly. 

Qualifications:

Knowledge, skills & abilities: Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Possess ability to perform duties utilizing current company software applications. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.  This position performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner.   • Must be able to work from Engineering specifications, manuals, drawings, established procedures, verbal and written instructions, use a variety of precision measuring equipment.  Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.  Must possess basic supervisory skills, SPC, FMEA, 8-D corrective action and DOE knowledge. KAIZEN activities. 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering field or equivalent manufacturing experience.

Experience:

At least 2 years prior related experience preferred. 

  • CMM programming and operational experience (preferable Mitutoyo software)

  • Prior automotive or aerospace manufacturing experience

  • Familiarity with ISO 19001 IATF 16949
